Kirk suspect Tyler Robinson lived with transgender partner

The late Charlie Kirk’s alleged shooter Tyler Robinson lived with a transgender-identifying partner, a source familiar confirmed to the Washington Examiner.

Robinson’s roommate is a biological male who identifies as a female, and is cooperating with the FBI on their investigation. The bureau had texts between the shooter and the person that helped them confirm that Robinson is the shooter.

The Daily Mail reported that Robinson lived with Lance Twiggs in a three-bedroom apartment in Saint George, Utah. It’s unclear if Twiggs is the transgender partner, but Twiggs turned over Robinson to the police and showed the FBI texts from Robinson about stashing a gun linked to Wednesday’s shooting.

POLITICAL VIOLENCE ON THE RISE IN THE US: A TIMELINE OF KEY INCIDENTS

There has been speculation from conservatives that the Kirk shooting is linked to the transgender movement. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) said she believed the shooter was “a tr*nny, or pro-tr*nny,” before the shooter was identified.

Robinson allegedly shot and killed Kirk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday and fled the scene. He was caught on Friday after a manhunt and charged with murder, obstruction, and felony firearm charges.

The manhunt identified an initial suspect as George Zinn, but he was just charged with obstruction and absolved of any responsibility in the shooting. A different college student was also taken in, questioned, and released.

Following Kirk’s death, a massive public outcry ensued, and he was mourned by the left and right alike.
All former presidents and President Donald Trump denounced political violence in the wake of his murder. His wife, Erika Kirk, vowed to continue Charlie’s mission at Turning Point USA in an address on Friday.

The suspect, Robinson, is 22 years old and had been described as “quiet,” but was also “politically active and outspoken about people’s rights.”

One of Robinson’s high school classmates, Xander Luke, said he “thought both political sides were contributing to a country being in a worse place and not improving the world.”

Robinson briefly attended Utah State University before going into an electrical apprenticeship program at Dixie Technical College in St. George.

Robinson is set to go into court next week.

The Washington Examiner reached out to the FBI and the Salt Lake City FBI branch, but both declined to comment.
