Aruban judge orders continued detention of Md. man

A Maryland man suspected in the disappearance of his traveling companion in Aruba can remain in custody for another 60 days, a judge has ruled.

The judge approved prosecutors’ request to keep Gary V. Giordano detained while they continue to investigate the disappearance of 35-year-old Robyn Gardner, of Frederick, according to a statement from Aruban prosecutors.
