The same suspect charged in the kidnapping and murder of Memphis mother of two Eliza Fletcher is now facing additional charges unrelated to the case.
Cleotha Henderson, 38, was indicted by a grand jury Thursday on charges of aggravated kidnapping, rape, and unlawful possession of a weapon. These charges come after Henderson’s 17 previous charges in his lifetime, beginning at age 11, were revealed.
A Memphis Police Department Public Information Officer mentioned that the new charges are not related to Fletcher’s case but did not disclose more information.

Including the charges related to Fletcher’s case, Henderson is now facing “two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, one count of aggravated rape, two counts of theft, first degree murder, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, identity theft, tampering with evidence, and fraudulent use of a credit/debit card,” according to Fox News.
Fletcher, the granddaughter of hardware tycoon Joseph Orgill III, went missing around 4:20 a.m. on Sept. 2 while jogging. Video surveillance would capture Henderson cleaning the car he was driving around the same time Fletcher went missing, hours after her disappearance. Police found Fletcher dead 7.5 miles from where Henderson’s vehicle was captured on camera, but the cause of death has not yet been released.
Henderson’s next day in court is Sept. 19.
