Man struck, killed by Metro car
Metro says a man who was struck by a train at the Potomac Avenue station has died. Spokeswoman Candace Smith says the incident happened at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday. Trains had been sharing a single track between the Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory stations. But Smith says trains have returned to normal service. Officials say crews removed the man from under the train and took him to a hospital, where he died. – AP
