Three shot, one fatally, in Prince George’s County
Three people were shot, one to death, around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday on the 500 block of Nalley Road in Landover, Prince George’s County police said.
The victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds in a car. All three were taken to the hospital, where one was pronounced dead. Police are unsure of a motive and are working to develop information on possible suspects. Anyone with information should call 301-772-4925 or 1-866-411-TIPS.
Woman stabbed near Eastern Market
D.C. police are investigating a burglary and stabbing of a woman early Tuesday near Eastern Market.
The incident happened shortly after midnight on the 500 block of 14th Street Southeast. Police said a woman tried to confront the burglar and was stabbed numerous times. The man fled, and she dragged herself to the street to get help. Police said she remains in critical condition.
Man arrested in connection with attack on woman
A Silver Spring man was arrested on attempted-kidnapping charges in connection with an attack on a woman early Sunday morning, Montgomery County police said.
Pablo Ventura-Canales, 24, was charged with multiple offenses, including attempted second-degree rape and third-degree sexual offense.
A 31-year-old woman was walking on the 200 block of Wayne Avenue in Silver Spring at about 2:30 a.m. when a man approached her from behind and tried to force her into the woods.
The woman got away. Patrol officers and a K-9 unit captured Ventura-Canales a short time later.
