Police: Man abducted young girls
A Chillum man was arrested after Prince George’s County police say he abducted two girls and sexually assaulted them.

Police said Charles Amofa, 25, lured a 6-year-old girl from the Value Village Thrift Store, 2777 University Boulevard, about 1:30 p.m., and took her to a nearby playground in the area of Chapman Road, police said.
The man promised her a toy and took the girl while her father was not watching, police said.
Officer Fredys Castro-Rivas spotted the man and the girl and rushed to her rescue, police said.
Police said Amofa admitted to a similar incident involving an 8-year-old girl on July 9.
He was charged with first degree sex offense and child abduction.
UMd student admits to threats
A former University of Maryland student who threatened to shoot up the campus has pleaded guilty, according to the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Alexander Song pleaded guilty Tuesday to misuse of telephone facilities and disturbing the peace at a school or college.
Song posted comments online stating, “I will be on a shooting rampage tomorrow on campus,” and “hopefully I kill enough people to make it to national news.”
Song will perform 200 hours of community service.
D.C. man pleads to elderly attacks
A 48-year-old D.C. man pleaded guilty Tuesday in two attacks in which he posed as a maintenance man to gain entry into the elderly victim’s apartment.
Tony Ford faces up to 75 years in prison. The attacks occurred in June, and both of Ford’s victims were in their 90s.
