Teen fatally stabbed in D.C.
District police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy.
Police on Monday identified the teen as Jamar Freeman. Police said he was stabbed at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday on the 900 block of Quincy Street NW.
Freeman, of Southeast D.C., was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No suspects had been identified and no arrests had been made in the slaying. Police said a motive in the case is still under investigation.
The stabbing happened about a block from the Georgia Avenue-Petworth Metro station.

Wedding party’s purses stolen from Fairfax church
Add this to your list of wedding-day worries: that members of the bridal party will have their purses stolen during the ceremony.
A Fairfax City police report says five members of a wedding party reported that their purses were stolen while they were attending the ceremony at Fairfax United Methodist Church on Saturday.
The theft happened sometime between 4 and 5 p.m. Cash, credit cards and cell phones were stolen, police said. No one has been arrested in the case.
The church is located at 10300 Stratford Ave.
