Fairfax County police are investigating the burglary of a townhouse occupied by George Mason University students near the Fairfax campus.
Tuesday night, five GMU students were studying, playing video games and chatting in the 4800 block of Carriage Park Road near the school’s campus when two armed men yelled at them and demanded money and valuables, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. The men then ran through the home and took electronics and other items, authorities said.
Officers responded to the incident about 11 p.m. and arrived with police dogs and a helicopter, but were unable to find the suspects, a police spokeswoman said.
The suspects were described as black, about 20 years old and about 6-feet tall. They wore masks and dark clothing, officials said.
