Police are asking for help tracking down the man who tried to rob a Laurel bank, but left the business before getting any money.
The attempted heist happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. on May 21, when a man walked into the Capital One bank at 3355 Corridor Marketplace, according to Anne Arundel County police. Police said the robber gave a teller a note that demanded money.
The man left the branch before any cash was handed over, authorities said.
Police said investigators don’t know which way the man went after leaving the bank. Officers searched the area after the attempted robbery but did not find the man.
No injuries were reported.
The robber is described as a white man who was about 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-8 and weighed about 190 pounds. At the time of the heist, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a gray shirt.
