Woman charged with manslaughter in fatal crash

A Virginia woman was charged with manslaughter after a fatal car wreck in Manassas killed another woman and a dog.

Prince William County police said Monday that 52-year-old Lori Love Shipe, of Fauquier County, was charged with DUI-related aggravated involuntary manslaughter and maiming by DUI in the Saturday night crash. She had previously been charged only with driving under the influence.

Police say she ran her Lexus SUV through a red light on Dumfries Road at Brentsville Road and hit a Ford Focus, which then hit a third car.
