Montgomery County police are asking the public to help find a District man wanted in a violent bank robbery. Police say Arnell Antwan Johnson, 28, is the last of three suspects who robbed a M&T bank in Damascus in June. Police said Johnson and another suspect were armed with guns, and forced the bank employees and a customer into a back room. The men took the money and fled. The other suspect and the getaway driver have been taken into custody. Johnson is described as a black male, 5-foot-10, and weighing 170 pounds.
Johnson is considered dangerous: he should not be approached, but anyone having information about him is asked to call the robbery section at 240-773-5100 or call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information. – Scott McCabe
