A man was hospitalized after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in an assault with a deadly weapon Sunday morning in the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace SE near the D.C.-Maryland border.
Two unidentified men described as black, wearing masks and armed with guns approached the victim around 5:30 a.m. Sunday and opened fire. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to each leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital and police said his injuries are not expected to be life threatening.
The suspects left the scene in a four-door vehicle with Kentucky license plates. There had been no arrests as of early Sunday afternoon.
