Motorcyclist dies after collision in Montgomery County

A motorcyclist died after a collision late Thursday in Montgomery County, police said.

About 10:20 p.m., police went to East Village Avenue and Doubleland Road in Montgomery Village and found an unconscious man and a black and burgundy Honda CB 750 motorcycle in the road.

Montgomery County police said the 46-year-old man driving the motorcycle, which was traveling eastbound on East Village Avenue, struck the left side of the curb and the median after crossing over Doubleland Road. The motorcyle left the road and hit a tree in the median.

The motorcyclist died at the scene. Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
