A Southeast D.C. man was shot and killed by police officers Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Kevin Bolden, 19, died from his injuries at a local hospital following the incident, D.C. police said.
About 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, police went to the 800 block of 51st Street SE to investigate a drug complaint. Bolden was at the scene and fired at officers, police said, and in response officers fired their weapons and hit Bolden.
Members of D.C. police’s Internal Affairs Division will investigate the incident.
