Police are looking for two men who tried to rob a Woodbridge bank at gunpoint, but were thwarted when bank employees wouldn’t let them inside.
The attempted heist happened shortly after 10 a.m. on Jan. 21, when two men went to the Cardinal Bank branch located at 14000 Jefferson Davis Highway, according to Prince William County police. The two men tried to get inside the bank, but all of the doors were locked at the time.

Police said one of the men pointed a handgun at the bank’s door and demanded that an employee let them inside.
The worker refused and the men fled from the bank on foot, police said. Investigators canvassed the area after the robbery attempt but could not locate the men.
No suspects have been named in the case.
Both suspects are described as black men who were between the ages of 20 and 30, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 140 pounds. Police said both men had thin builds and dreadlocks.
At the time of the robbery, the suspect that brandished the handgun was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light-colored pants and a black mask. The other man was wearing a black zip-up jacket with a black hood, black pants and gloves.
