High school teacher accused of groping teen
A 72-year-old T.C. Williams High School teacher has been accused of groping a 16-year-old female student, Alexandria police said. Reginald Brown was arrested on sexual battery charges Friday. The student filed a complaint on June 8 saying Brown had inappropriately touched her at the school the previous day, police said.
Tysons Corner drug dealer gets 9 years in prison
A 20-year-old Fairfax man, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute Ecstasy charges after he sold the drug to an undercover police officer at the Tysons Corner Center mall, has been sentenced to nine years in prison. Jonathan Pai was part of regionwide drug-dealing ring that was brought down after authorities bought more than 7,000 Ecstasy tablets from Pai in the mall’s food court. The other seven members charged in the conspiracy have also pleaded guilty.
Suspects in BMW try to carjack Honda Civic
Two men driving a BMW attempted to steal a 34-year-old man’s Honda Civic at gunpoint, but fled with only his cell phone after they couldn’t get the Civic to start. The victim was standing outside his car on the 10600 block of Braddock Road on Thursday when the would-be thieves pulled over in a 2007 BMW M6, put a gun in his face and demanded his keys. The man complied, but the thief who got into his car couldn’t start the engine. The thief grabbed the victim’s cell phone, got back into the BMW and they drove off. ‘Stop Snitching’ man sentenced
A Bloods gang member who appeared in the “Stop Snitching” videos has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for racketeering. Ronnie Thomas, 36, of Baltimore, was a member of the Tree Top Piru Bloods, who appeared prominently in the infamous 2004 videos advocating harm and death to people who cooperate with the police.
