WASHINGTON (AP) — A homeless man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for fatally stabbing an acquaintance during an argument at a gas station they frequented.
Forty-three-year-old Richard Williams was sentenced Friday in Superior Court in Washington. He had been convicted of second-degree murder while armed in the death of 37-year-old Sean West.

Prosecutors say on Aug. 27, 2010, the two got into a shoving match in a gas station in Oxon Hill, Md. just over the D.C. line. Authorities say West walked into Washington after a third person broke up the fight.
Prosecutors say Williams ran after West and stabbed him in the chest. West ran back into Oxon Hill, collapsed and died hours later.
