Baltimore County’s Humane Society is offering a reward for information on two people seen illegally hunting deer Thursday in a private wildlife sanctuary.
The two suspects shot a deer inside the Elsie Seeger Barton Wildlife Sanctuary, a Reisterstown reserve under the Humane Society of Baltimore County’s management. Witnesses captured the license plates of their vehicle and can positively identify the suspects, who fled, said Joshua Gowans, executive director of the society.

The incident is under investigation by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and Baltimore County police, Gowans said. The Humane Society is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
