A man was assaulted with a broken bottle in Northeast D.C. Saturday night, according to a police report.

The victim was sitting on a park bench on the 1500 block of Benning Road at 11:50 p.m. Saturday when two black men, estimated to be about 20 to 30 years old, approached him, according to Officer Anthony Clay, a spokesman with the D.C. police.
