Takoma Park police said they are looking for a suspect in an attempted murder that occurred Tuesday afternoon.
About 4:40 p.m., police went to the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue and found a man with stab wounds lying on the ground.
An investigation found that a man approached the victim and demanded property, leading to a struggle. The suspect then displayed a knife, assaulted the victim and fled into Prince George’s County, police said.
The suspect is described as black, in his 30s and about 5-foot-11, with a thin athletic build, a dark complexion, short dark hair and stubble facial hair. He was wearing blue jeans and black shoes, police said.
