A 16-year-old boy was shot in Southeast D.C., police said.
About 11:50 p.m. Sunday, the teen was walking in the 900 block of Valley Avenue SE when he was approached by two men in a red, two-door sedan. One of the men brandished a handgun and then fired at the victim, who was struck in the back and leg, D.C. police spokesman Officer Anthony Clay said.
The boy was taken to a hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, Clay said. The sedan was last seen on Valley Avenue heading toward the 1300 block of Southern Avenue SE.
