Three District residents have been arrested and charged with separate cases of animal cruelty.

Michelle Terrell, 26, of the 4400 of Gault Place NE, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly abandoning her dog. It was the second time Terrell has been arrested on an animal cruelty charge in less than a year, police said.
