In a statement to the station, Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) said he is “saddened to learn about this incident” and is “praying for the victim and their family and wish them a full recovery.”
Warnock is facing off against Republican Herschel Walker in the Peach State’s Senate runoff on Tuesday. Warnock is vying for his first full term after winning a special election in 2020, which also went to a runoff.
