Reward offered for information on Havre de Grace bank robber

Police are offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who held up a Harford County bank and made off with cash.

The robbery happened at about 3:15 p.m. on April 10 at the Cecil Bank on the 1600 block of Pulaski Highway in Havre de Grace, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the man entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded cash. The man obtained money and then fled from the bank on foot, the sheriff’s office said. Officials didn’t disclose how much cash was taken.

It’s not known which direction the man went after leaving the bank, the sheriff’s office said.

No injuries were reported in the heist.

Police described the robber as a white man in his mid-40s. He was about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, clean-shaven and wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a blue shirt and blue jeans.

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information that leads to a suspect and a conviction.

Anyone who has information about the robber or the heist is asked to call the Harford County Sheriff’s Office at 410-836-5428 or Harford Crime Solvers at 888-540-8477. Tipsters can also contact Metro Crime Stoppers by sending a text message that says “MCS” plus the information to CRIMES (274637).
