Manassas City police are investigating an aggravated assault on an ice cream vendor.
The incident occurred about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 9300 block of Taney Road. The vendor told police he was assaulted by four people while he was in the area selling ice cream from his cart.
The vendor sustained injuries to his left eye, nose and left elbow and was taken to a hospital, police said.
The suspects were described as black males between the ages of 16 and 20. Police said they do not know if the suspects wanted to rob the vendor or just assault him.
