2 homes damaged in grill fire
A fire caused by a propane grill damaged two town houses in Prince William County.
The fire occurred on the 9600 block of Bedder Stone Place in Bristow on Monday night, Prince William County Fire and Rescue said.
The fire started on a deck and was caused by a propane grill that had been lit then left unattended, authorities said. The tank’s relief valve opened, which caused the fire to grow rapidly.
The Fire Marshal’s Office estimated that the properties sustained $300,000 in damages.
