Montgomery County police say they have apprehended the man responsible for a series of armed robberies in Rockville and Gaithersburg.
Police said 25-year-old Ramon Gunn was arrested as he was walking to his vehicle after allegedly robbing the Night Dreams store located at 11550 Rockville Pike at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
He demanded cash from store employees at gunpoint and left after receiving the money, police said. When Gunn was arrested, he was carrying the cash and a pellet gun, authorities said.
During questioning, he admitted to also committing armed robberies at two Gaithersburg busineses, according to police.
The first of those robberies happened Jan. 18 at the O’Hair Salon and Spa located at 424 Main St. The second occurred Jan. 30 at Salon G, located a block away at 316 Main St. In that incident, the suspect man robbed the store and ordered the employee into a bathroom, put a gun to her head and touched her inappropriately.
Police said investigators are determining whether Gunn is responsible for any other robberies in the county.
