Report: Baltimore-area man admits cannibalism

A Harford County man who admitted to eating a victim’s heart and part of his brain has been charged with murder, the Associated Press reported. Alexander Kinyua, 21, was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. On May 25, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, was reported missing. During a search of Agyei-Kodie’s and Kinyua’s Joppatowne, Md., residence Wednesday, detectives discovered partial human remains in the residence and in a trash bin, authorities said. The identity of the remains had yet to be confirmed by the medical examiner’s office Wednesday, authorities said, but investigators strongly suspect the remains are those of Agyei-Kodie. — Naomi Jagoda
