Teen critically injured in I-270 rollover
A Woodsboro teen was in critical condition after he flipped his Jeep on Interstate 270, authorities said.
Kyle Plaza, 18, was traveling southbound near Park Mills on Saturday afternoon when a three-car crash caused his Cherokee to flip over, the Frederick News-Post reported.
Plaza was taken in a helicopter to Baltimore where he was listed in critical condition.
The crash stalled traffic on I-270 for about three hours. No one else was injured.

Woman charged with DWI in collision with cop
A Burke woman has been charged with drunken driving after the car she was driving collided with a Fairfax County police car, seriously injuring a veteran detective.
Cristina Zamorano, 49, is accused of driving while intoxicated in the Friday night collision. Authorities allege she pulled her 2009 Toyota Corolla onto Parliament Drive, right in front of the oncoming cop car.
The canine officer, whose name was withheld, was on his way to a reported burglary, and his lights were flashing and siren blaring, authorities said. Both he and Zamorano suffered “serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” police said. The officer’s dog wasn’t hurt.
Fire burns tobacco shop, other buildings in Annapolis
A four-alarm fire damaged a smoke shop and some apartments in a historic section of Annapolis on Saturday.
Fire broke out in a building at 54 Maryland Ave. around 1:30 p.m., fire officials said. It brought more than 70 firefighters to the scene. No one was injured.
Motorbike collides with president’s motorcade
A motorbike slid into President Obama’s motorcade over the weekend, but the worst injuries appeared to be to the biker’s ego.
A White House pool report said Obama was on his way to his daughter Malia’s soccer game when the motorbike slid into a police car at the rear of the motorcade. The driver got up, dusted himself off, exchanged glares with the cop and sped off.
