Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the two men suspected of fatally shooting a Brookland convenience store owner on Saturday. Raj Patel, 46, was shot to death during a robbery at his store, the Newton Foodmart on the 3600 block of 12th Street NE, at about 6:40 p.m.
Two people entered the store, and one shot Patel in the chest, police said.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
