A man has been arrested for a shooting at a Potomac home, police said.
DeAngelo Jackson, 20, of Poolesville, was charged Saturday with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and several firearms-related chrages, court records show. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 11.
According to an investigation, the 21-year-old victim and his roommate were inside a residence in the 8500 block of Victory Lane on April 8 when the doorbell rang. The victim answered the door and was confronted by Jackson, who had a handgun.
The man tried to close the door. However, Jackson pushed through the door, shot the victim while inside the residence and then left the scene, police said. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at a hospital.
