A Montgomery County barbershop was damaged in a fire that was intentionally set, officials said.
The fire was at a barbershop in a strip mall in the 900 block of Bonifant Street in downtown Silver Spring, and firefighters were called to the scene about 2:35 a.m. Thursday. There were no injuries or occupants, said Capt. Oscar Garcia, spokesman at the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.
Investigators have classified the fire an arson because a K-9 detected a flammable liquid, but investigators do not know what the liquid is, Garcia said.
