Attorney: ‘Horrorcore’ rapper

regrets Virginia slayings

A “horrorcore” rapper who sang about the thrill of killing before he was charged in the bludgeoning deaths of four people in Virginia is feeling remorseful about the deaths, his attorney reportedly said after a hearing Tuesday. Richard “Sam” McCroskey, 21, is accused of killing his girlfriend, 16-year-old Emma Niederbrock, and her parents and Emma’s 18-year-old friend, Melanie Wells. The father, Mark Niederbrock, was a minister, and the mother, Debra Kelley, was a professor at Longwood University. “This isn’t something that he’s real proud about,” McCroskey’s court-appointed attorney Cary Bowen told the Associated Press.
