A former Metro supervisor was convicted of two counts of felony theft from the transit agency on Tuesday for running a fake overtime ring, according to Metro.
Alfred Atanga, 50, of Bowie could face up to 30 years in prison.
He and three other workers were arrested in August, with Atanga asccused of falsifying overtime hours never worked by the three workers. Metro had estimated they stole about $25,000 over several months at a Prince George’s County customer service call center.
Charges against one of the workers, Keesha Richardson, were dismissed in exchange for her cooperation, Metro spokeswoman Caroline Lukas said. The two others, Empriss Jacobs and Lakisha Gardin, previously pleaded guilty.
