11 charged in D.C. drug ring Prosecutors say 11 people have been indicted in federal court in the District for their roles in a ring that distributed cocaine and marijuana.

The ring arranged for large amounts of the drugs to be delivered to the Washington area, prosecutors said.

In one indictment, eight people are charged with possessing and distributing powder and crack cocaine. In a second indictment, four people are accused of trafficking marijuana. One man, 37-year-old Eric Moses, is named in both cases.

Crash victims identified

Police have identified the two people killed in a fiery weekend crash in the Cloverly area.

Montgomery County police said 27-year-old Daniel J. Baker and 26-year-old Richard F. Scotton II died when their car went off the road, struck a tree and caught fire on the 15700 block of Holly Grove Road at about 12:20 a.m. Saturday, police said. Baker was driving.
