Woman sought in Va. carjacking, bank heists now wanted in Md.

The woman sought in one Virginia carjacking and two bank heists is now also wanted in attempted carjacking in Baltimore County.

Police said a 26-year-old woman reported on Thursday that she gave a short ride to a woman, who then brandished a knife near a Catonsville grocery store.

Baltimore County police said the victim tried to grab the knife from the suspect, 26-year-old Stephanie Schwab, and was cut on her hand.

Schwab fled and was last seen running on the Baltimore National Pike toward Baltimore city.

Schwab is already being sought in a Fairfax County carjacking and bank robberies in Fairfax and Prince William counties.

Fire that killed boy appears accidental

Investigators believe the Sunday fire that killed a 6-year-old boy started accidentally, according to Prince George’s County fire and emergency services.

Authorities are still determining exactly how the fire started, authorities said.

Officials on Monday identified the boy as Omari Noel. He was killed when the home on the 2400 block of Griffin Street in the Lewisdale area caught fire at about 3:45 a.m.

Two women, the boy’s mother and aunt, remain hospitalized in critical condition, the fire department said Monday.
