Police in three states are on the lookout for a couple who has robbed several banks in the past month.
Authorities believe the string of at least four heists began on May 3, when a man and a woman were involved in the robbery of a 1st Summit Bank in Salix, Pa., according to Maryland State Police. That same day, police said, the pair also tried to rob an M&T Bank branch in Tyrone, Pa.
A few days later, on May 7, the pair allegedly robbed another M&T branch, this time in Friendsville, Md., a small town in Garrett County.
Then, on May 29, the duo allegedly robbed a WesBanco Bank in Bruceton Mills, W.Va.
To commit the holdups, police said one of the two usually entered the bank and passed a teller a note demanding money. After obtaining cash, the suspect then fled with the other person into a light blue pickup truck waiting outside.
No one has been injured in any of the heists. Authorities have not disclosed how much money the two have made off with.
The male suspect is described as white and between 5 feet 6 inches and 6 feet tall. He has a medium build, dark hair, a mustache and tattoos on both arms.
The female suspect is described as white and 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build. She has blond hair, walks with a slight limp and may have a tattoo on her neck.
A blue getaway truck has been spotted at several of the heists; that vehicle may be an early-1990s model Chevrolet or GMC and had a tool chest in the back.
