A man was fatally shot in Hillcrest Heights, police said.

About 7 p.m. Wednesday, officers went to the 3900 block of 23rd Parkway and found a man with a gunshot wound outside an apartment building. The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Prince George’s County police said.
