On this day, Nov. 15, in 2004, former child actor Skylar Deleon forced the owners of a 55-foot yacht to sign over the boat before throwing them overboard to their deaths.Thomas and Jackie Hawks placed an ad to sell their yacht, Well Deserved, in Southern California. Deleon, who appeared in the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” TV series, answered the ad along with his pregnant wife and two friends. Deleon and his accomplices bound and gagged the couple, lashed them to the anchor and tossed them into the ocean. Their bodies have never been found.

Defense lawyers said Deleon needed money to pay for a sex-change. He was convicted of the Hawks’ murders and of killing an Anaheim man in Mexico.
