An Osbourn High School teacher has been accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old former male student.
Manassas police said they received information regarding inappropriate conduct between Federalsburg, Md., resident Kevin Garfield Ricks, 49, and a former high school student on Tuesday. Police said they arrested Ricks and charged him with carnal knowledge, aggravated sexual battery and two counts of indecent liberties while in a supervisory position.
The alleged offenses took place at a residence in Manassas from December through January, police say.
Ricks has been held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center without bail and is waiting for a court date.
