Four killed in crash on U.S. 50 A head-on collision claimed the lives of four people, including three teenagers, in Anne Arundel County early Sunday.

Maryland State Police said the teens were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as Breanna Marie Franco, 18, Brittany Ann Walker, 19, and Zachary Tyler Rose, 18. They were all in the same vehicle.

The driver of the other car, Terry Wayne Davis, 55, of Severna Park, died on the way to the hospital, police said.

The crash happened about 3:30 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 50, east of Maryland Route 424. Police said the three teenagers were traveling the wrong way on Route 50 when their vehicle struck Davis’ vehicle head-on.

Man charged in wife’s killing

A 68-year-old Silver Spring man has been charged in the death of his wife.

Montgomery County Police have charged Henry Gordon Hutchins with first-degree murder in the death of 62-year-old Carol Frances Carter.

At about 3 p.m. Saturday, Hutchins called police to say that his wife was dead. Officers found Carter in her bedroom with injuries to her upper body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The body pulled from a Fort Washington well has been identified as Alexandria activist Lenwood “Lenny” Harris, according to Prince George’s County police.

The autopsy showed that Harris, 53, was murdered, said spokeswoman Julie Parker.

Harris went missing in September, and Alexandra police said at the time that they believed he was in danger, though they did not elaborate. Police released a photo of a man who used Harris’ credit card at an ATM. His car was found in Prince George’s County.
