Viewers of a new ad by JCN, formally known as Judicial Crisis Network, will hear the chilling words of Nicholas Roske, the man facing charges for attempting to murder Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
The video, called “Tipping Point,” was released on Wednesday and begins with the 911 call Roske, labeled a “liberal gunman” in the ad, placed to the Montgomery County line. He admits he’s there to hurt someone and tells authorities, “I’m just standing in front of the house,” according to the audio.

The “Tipping Point” ad is the second of two in a $10 million campaign, according to a press release sent to the Washington Examiner. “Tipping Point” cost $1 million and is set to air in Georgia, Nevada, and Washington, D.C.
JCN President Carrie Severino told the Washington Examiner the organization believes there is a disconnect between the two states’ voters and senators. Georgia’s and Nevada’s airings will target Sens. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) for “overlooking the ongoing threats toward SCOTUS justices.”

“We’re hoping that it will encourage [voters] to put some more pressure on the government to enforce our laws protecting our justices,” Severino said. “We think that these laws that protect our justices should protect justices regardless of what political party appointed them.”
Kavanaugh was also the focus of the network’s first ad, “Twelve Years.” Released earlier this month, the ad called out Attorney General Merrick Garland for “turning on his longtime former colleague and friend, Justice Brett Kavanaugh” and for not upholding a federal law making it illegal to picket at the residence of a judge in an attempt to influence them, according to a release.
The ad includes the first 20 seconds of Roske’s call, in which he details the weapons he brought and what he intended to do. The entire audio, released by Maryland authorities a few days after Roske’s arrest, lasts a little over 1 minute, during which listeners can hear him turning himself in and providing a location to police, the Washington Examiner previously reported.
The ad also features several Democratic representatives and senators, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MS), who are both seen in the ad at abortion access protests and rallies.
JCN released the ad in a tweet denouncing Democrats for violence against Supreme Court justices. A poll conducted by the network shows that 61% of registered voters agree that protests outside of justices’ homes “undermine our democracy,” and 60% agree President Joe Biden should condemn the protests.

The poll included 1,600 respondents over the period from July 14-17 with a 2.6% margin of error. Political affiliations of respondents included 36% Democrats, 34% independents, and 30% Republicans.
