Teen charged in attempted armed robbery

Prince William County police say a teenager who allegedly tried to rob a convenience store at gunpoint was caught after he fired a gun during an argument with another teen.

Aaron Dass, 18, is accused of attempting to rob the store on the 1400 block of Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge on July 16. Police said no one was injured when Dass fired a shot into a plate glass window as he fled without grabbing cash.

Later that day, a group of teens were arguing over two girls when Dass fired the same gun, police said. Two of the teens involved in the dispute were detained and told police it was Dass who had the gun. He was later developed as the suspect in the attempted robbery, police said.
