Hunt continues for cop killer
Police continued to look for the man who shot and killed a Maryland state trooper at an Applebee’s restaurant.
Authorities are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who shot 24-year-old Trooper Wesley W. Brown early Friday morning after Brown escorted him out of the Forestville restaurant.

The slayer is described as a black male, 5-7, 135 pounds with short hair, a slight beard and wearing a blue jacket.
Software developer arrested
An original software developer for America Online was arrested for secretly video taping teenagers in a changing room at his pool in Centreville.
Craig Dykstra, 51, was charged with misdemeanor unlawful filming. The video showed eight teenagers getting dressed and toweling off, and at least one teenage girl totally nude, according to a search warrant filed in Fairfax Circuit Court. Dykstra’s arrest was first reported by Fox 5.
Man twice arrested for kidnapping
For the second time in a week, police arrested a Hyattsville man at a motel in Laurel on charges of kidnapping a young woman and forcing her into prostitution.
Gabriel Dreke-Hernandez, 23, was charged with human trafficking and related counts. The 19-year-girl told police that Dreke-Hernandez kidnapped her from a party in Prince George’s County. Police also found a 16-year-old girl at the motel who had been advertised on the Internet as a prostitute.
Restaurant owner pleads
to harboring illegal aliens
A Columbia woman pleaded guilty Friday to harboring illegal aliens at her restaurant, the Red Parrot Asian Bistro, in Hanover.
Yen Wan Cheng, 54, faces up to 10 years in prison. Cheng owned the Red Parrot Bistro in the Arundel Mills Preserve.
Cheng admitted that she hired 14 illegal aliens, housed them at a home she owned and had them driven to work in her van.
