Searched the lion cage, yet?
Police in New Mexico are looking for college-age kids who photographed themselves breaking into the Albuquerque zoo and posing with the animals.
The zoo wasn’t aware of the intruders until someone posted the pics on Facebook.
The pictures showed six people climbing or crawling under fences, then going into the cages. The youths then snapped pictures of themselves with giraffes and sea lions.
The youths even went into the rhinoceros cage, police.
Police said they just want to talk to the culprits.
Winners and losers
The good news for Mark Chambers: His Indiana “Pick Four” lottery ticket is a winner, worth $2,260.
The bad news: The ticket was in his pocket when he was arrested for allegedly dealing cocaine.
Chambers, 20, was arrested after undercover cops said they bought the cocaine during four separate deals.
Prosecutors are trying to seize the prize because they say it was purchased with the money from the drug buys.
Drink and drown night
Police in Alabama are considering charges against a man who twice swam across the Tennessee River while six police and fire departments searched frantically for a possible drowning victim.
The 33-year-old man apparently swam to the marina, called 911 to report a drowning and sat in a bar for several hours. He later swam back across the river.
Divers searched for the person for at least three hours before police got a call that a wet man who matched the description of the drowning victim had been watching the whole thing from the bar.
To dream the impossible dream
A napping Arizona man was awakened and attacked police officers and two medical workers because he had been interrupted from “a very good dream.”
It happened in Surprise, Ariz. A gas station employee noticed William Meadows, 47, laying inside his pickup truck and knocked on his window.
Meadows went nuts. Police had to handcuff him and put him inside a cruiser, but he began kicking the window. So police put restraints on his legs.
When medics showed up, Meadows spit on the cop and bit a medic. At the hospital, he punched a nurse.
Examiners found nothing to explain Meadows’ behavior. Other than the “very good dream.”
