A Woodbridge man is scheduled to be sentenced Friday in federal court in Alexandria for aiding a Pakistani terrorist group by making a video that was intended to support its jihad, court records show. Pakistani native Jubair Ahmad, 24, pleaded guilty in December to providing material support or resources to terrorists.
Ahmad had communicated with Talha Saeed, the son of Lashkar-e-Tayyiba leader Hafiz Muhammad Saeed. In September 2010, Ahmad prepared a video at the request of Talha Saeed and uploaded it to YouTube for it to be used to promote jihad, according to a court document.
