Montgomery County police are searching for two men who robbed a check-cashing store at gunpoint in Gaithersburg on Sunday afternoon.
Around 12:45 p.m., the men entered the store in the Lake Forest Mall at 701 Russell Avenue. One of the men approached an employee, displayed a gun and demanded cash, police said.
The two men left on foot with an unknown quantity of cash, police said. No one was injured.
Witnesses said both men were black. The first suspect is described as 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black skullcap and a bandana. The second was 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build. He may have been wearing a wig.
