Major cities across the United States fell victim to mass looting throughout Black Friday weekend as retailers fell victim to what liberal officials deemed “organized robbery.”
California was hit with “smash and grab” and “flash-mob–style” looting in Los Angeles County, according to a report.
A group of 15- to 20-year-olds wearing ski masks allegedly broke into a Home Depot on Friday and seized mallets, crowbars, and sledgehammers.

Thirty individuals entered the Burnsville storefront and walked away with electronics, while “adult and juvenile suspects” stormed the Maplewood location and left with “televisions, tablets, and hoverboards,” police said.
No arrests related to the incidents were made the night of the robberies in Minnesota, according to a report.
Robbers also hit Chicago’s north side, according to authorities in the area.
A Footlocker, North Face, and Boost Mobile in the Wicker Park neighborhood were looted within an hour, a report stated.
The string of robberies, which occurred early Friday, occurred less than a day after thieves smashed the window at a Canada Goose store and stole expensive outerwear, according to NBC5 Chicago.
After over $1 million in luxury goods were stolen across California earlier in November, authorities refused to deem the robberies, such as those that occurred over Black Friday weekend, looting.
The spokesperson for the San Diego Police Department called it “organized robbery.”
“Looting” carries a racist connotation, said Lorenzo Boyd, a professor of criminal justice and community policing at the University of New Haven and a former police officer.

“Looting is a term that we typically use when people of color or urban dwellers are doing something,” he said. “We tend not to use that term for other people when they do the exact same thing.”
