Washington Examiner senior writer Joe Concha slammed Time magazine for using a photo of President Donald Trump taken from an unflattering angle for its magazine cover.
“I don’t get the picture,” Concha said on Fox News’s Fox & Friends First on Wednesday. “I mean, there is 1,000 photos you could take of President Trump and in this case I don’t understand why they went with something like that even here when he achieves what you could call — as far as his legacy — one of the greatest achievements he will be remembered for as a president — as far as peace in Gaza and getting Hamas to step down as far as governing that area — I don’t get the photo.”
The cover previews an article highlighting Trump’s peace deal between Israel and Hamas, which resulted in both sides releasing all of their living hostages.
“Again, you have never seen a shot like that of the president before. So why go like that? Time magazine is not the Time magazine that we grew up with, that’s certainly for sure,” Concha added. “Even here, they appear to be trying to insult the president by putting this particular photo up.”
Trump also took issue with the cover, writing on Truth Social, “The picture may be the Worst of All Time.”
TRUMP BLASTS TIME COVER PHOTO OF HIM AS ‘WORST OF ALL TIME’
“They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird!” Trump wrote.
Last year, Time magazine named Trump the 2024 Person of the Year, continuing its tradition of naming the president-elect every election year since former President George W. Bush.
