Joe Concha predicts Rush Hour 4 ‘will be profitable’ thanks to MAGA viewers

Washington Examiner senior writer Joe Concha predicted a big box-office hit for Rush Hour 4 due to President Donald Trump’s reported involvement.

Paramount Skydance greenlit the long-awaited Rush Hour sequel on Tuesday after Trump reportedly pressured CEO Larry Ellison to revive one of Trump’s favorite movie franchises. The action series centered on the partnership between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.

“President Trump probably knows entertainment as well as any president since Ronald Reagan,” Concha said on Fox News’s Fox and Friends First on Wednesday. “This is awesome because you know Trump will promote this film when it comes out. If MAGA comes to see it, it will be quite profitable.”

“Since we know the president watches this show — he’s an early riser — I would say, Mr. President, can we get a Caddyshack 3?” Concha added. “Because Caddyshack 1 is an all-time classic, Caddyshack 2 was the worst sequel of all time, so we need a do-over on that one and collaboration with John Wick and Jason Bourne.”

PARAMOUNT SKYDANCE GREENLIGHTS RUSH HOUR 4 AFTER TRUMP ASKED

Rush Hour 4 does not have a known release date as of Wednesday. Chan’s latest release was The Karate Kid: Legends this year. Tucker’s last movie was Air in 2023.

Paramount announced earlier this year that it would pay Trump $16 million to settle his lawsuit over its 60 Minutes program. While Trump himself did not appear on the program before the 2024 election, he sued over his then-opponent Vice President Kamala Harris’s segment, which received heavy edits. Shortly after, the Federal Communications Commission approved Paramount’s merger with Skydance.
